Dragons Spell Dark Ride

The Dragons Spell Dark Ride is the first media-based Interactive Dark Ride (IDR) at Vinpearl Theme Park on the tropical resort island of Phú Quốc, Vietnam. The Dragons Spell Dark Ride was a design and build contract working in conjunction with Triotech, taking their schematic design package through the detailed design process to onsite construction. Pico Play were responsible for executing Triotech's original vision of this fantasy castle for queue line, ride and exit  theming, considering both design intent, local standards and ride integration. The design, prefabrication and on site construction took part largely through the Covid-19 pandemic, which posed many issues that required dynamic solutions on the go.

Much of the project was prefabricated within Pico Play’s factory in Johor and brought tosite for installation. Theme parks of this size have many contractors who all had to work together to execute the final product. To get the best product involved a number of design revisions, technical and artistic meetings ensuring at each step the creative design intentions were being met along with the local authority standards and above all the park guests were provided the best experience.

Post completion has yielded a queue line and ride attraction for Vinpearl that is both whimsical and immersive for guests of all ages. Pico and Triotech were able to build a relationship that has yielded multiple other successful joint projects together.
