The Job:

Perform daily inspections and testing of fabrication components to ensure adherence to specifications and drawings.
Identify and report non-conformance, ensuring timely corrective actions are taken
Maintain detailed records of inspection results, test data, and quality performance.
Prepare inspection and quality reports for review by QA and Plant Management.
Monitor and enforce quality standards at every stage of production.
Support production teams in implementing quality controls to minimize defects and rework.
Ensure measuring tools and equipment are regularly calibrated and used effectively for inspections.
Coordinate with the QA Engineer and production team to address quality concerns.
Provide support during internal and external audits as required.
Assist in training production staff on quality processes and specifications.
Promote quality awareness among team members.

The Person:

Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Quality Control, or a related field.
Minimum 2–4 years of experience in quality control within a fabrication, manufacturing, or construction environment.
Experience with inspection methods, quality tools, and documentation practices.
Basic Knowledge of drawings, tolerances, and fabrication processes.
Proficiency in using measuring tools (calipers, gauges, etc.).
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Pico Play is seeking an experienced Masterplan Designer to lead and develop comprehensive master plans for themed destinations, entertainment precincts, and leisure attractions. Based in Gold Coast, this full-time role requires a strategic thinker with a creative approach to shaping immersive environments that integrate entertainment, design, and operational functionality.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and refine master plans for large-scale leisure and entertainment destinations, ensuring alignment with client vision, project goals, and operational needs.
Collaborate with internal design teams, clients, and stakeholders to create holistic design strategies that seamlessly integrate various elements of themed environments, including landscaping, architecture, and attractions.
Analyse project requirements and site conditions to ensure optimal space planning, layout, and functionality.
Produce high-level colour conceptual designs, sketches, and layout plans using relevant design software such as Photoshop.
Good hand sketching or digital sketching required.
Work closely with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate design development, including structural, mechanical, and technical aspects.
Oversee the production of detailed master plan presentations and visualizations for client approval, using illustrations, and other design tools.
Stay informed of global trends and innovations in entertainment and leisure design to incorporate cutting-edge ideas into projects.
Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timelines, budgets, and quality standards are met.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Architecture, Urban Design, Landscape Architecture, or related fields.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in master planning, preferably in the themed entertainment or leisure sectors.
Strong proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, Rhino, and other 3D modelling tools.
Experience in working on large-scale projects involving complex site planning and integration of multiple attractions.
Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment with excellent communication and project management skills.
Strong creative and conceptual thinking with the ability to translate ideas into practical master plans.
Experience working in the entertainment, attractions, or theme park design industry is preferred but not required.
Proficiency in producing visually engaging presentations using Photoshop, SketchUp, or similar software is a plus.
