Pico Play is looking for a passion and experienced person to fill the role as Senior Quantity Surveyor, to be part of our creative team to tender and build the themed destinations and themed attractions.

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Review contract documents on tender, and highlights of essential key dates and submission requirements;
Perform quantity take-off and measurements for tenders;
Prepare document for inviting quotations, prepare comparison, tender report;
Prepare and analyze costing for tenders;
Perform risk and value management and cost control;
Attend site show rounds, tender briefs, tender interviews and meetings as and when necessary;
Prepare cost estimation, quantity take-off for materials procurement, cost evaluations, pre-qualification of sub-contractors;
Prepare, compile and submit progress claims in a timely manner including updating payment records;
Check & prepare progress payment certificates for all sub-contractors including site valuations with Project Team;
Assist in administrative procurement duties such as selection, comparison, review/verify unit rates, check Purchase Orders, etc;
Assisting and advising in contractual matters such as the extension of time, contractual correspondences, etc;
Liaise with main contractors, sub-contractors, clients, project team, in-house factories, etc, for project execution and cost control.

REQUIREMENTS

Minimum 5 years of relevant experience.
Minimum Quantity Surveyor degree or the equivalent is a requirement.
Possess creative flair and good interpretation skills
Possess good Microsoft Excel skills.
Bonus skills include AutoCAD, sketchup modelling
Able to work within tight deadlines.

The two positions that we have available may include one Audio specialist and one Lighting specialist although candidates with skills in all areas of AVCL are preferred.

We are seeking an Audio Visual and Lighting Designer with knowledge of theatrical installations, show control systems, multimedia and interactives. The ideal candidate will oversee all show production design integration with themed environments within the amusements and tourism industry ensuring seamless integration of technology, content, and story driven guest experiences.

Key Responsibilities

System Design & Planning: Lead the design documentation of comprehensive AV systems for themed attractions, including audio, video, lighting, SFX and control systems to create immersive guest experiences.
Thematic Integration: Integrate all technical fixtures, where possible, into themed works to enhance guest experiences while disguising the technical delivery of immersive content. Understanding and ability to navigate 3D models (Navis Works) would be beneficial. To collaborate with creative teams to ensure all AV elements align with the project's theme and narrative.
Video & Visuals: Design and integrate dynamic video displays, projections, and LED installations for storytelling and interactive elements. Media content by others.
Control & Automation: Detail design of seamless integration and automation of all AV components, including the design development of custom control system user interfaces and ensuring flawless show control operation.
Project Coordination: Work closely with Project Design Managers, Creative Directors, Project Managers, AV suppliers and other stakeholders to manage the AV scope design integration, ensuring that designs can be executed accurately and efficiently.
Guest Experiences: To know and understand what the ultimate creative objectives are, within every scene of every project to ensure the technical design elements are captured correctly to deliver the creative intent successfully.

Requirements

Minimum 2 years’ experience in theatre activations, AV system integration, exhibitions, museums, galleries, digital installations, interactive experiences, themed attractions or similar environments.
Strong ability to prepare and interpret AV block diagrams, line diagrams, logic diagrams, network schematics and system architecture documentation.
Hands-on experience and/or intimate knowledge of AV equipment, control systems, network infrastructure, and multimedia playback systems.
Strong ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams from design to construction.
Good problem-solving ability, technical aptitude, and structured approach to troubleshooting.
Excellent communication and presentation skills.

Preferred Skills (Good to Have)

Experience with themed attractions or experiential design projects.
3D modelling (Navis Works)
Knowledge of control systems, servers, networking, and interactive technologies.

Key Responsibilities

Design Coordination & Interface Management

Coordinate between Design, Site, Procurement, and Factory teams to ensure full alignment of deliverables
Review drawings, shop drawings, and technical submittals to ensure constructability and coordination
Track design development, approvals, and revisions across all disciplines
Ensure design intent is clearly communicated and maintained during execution
Facilitate design coordination workshops and interface meetings

Design–Procurement–Construction Integration

Ensure alignment between design outputs and procurement packages
Coordinate material submittals, samples, and technical approvals with Design and Procurement teams
Track long-lead items and ensure design is frozen in line with procurement timelines
Support resolution of design-related procurement issues

Site & Design Alignment

Ensure site execution is fully aligned with approved drawings and specifications

Support coordination between subcontractors and design disciplines

Documentation & Submittals Management

Track RFIs, submittals, shop drawings, and approvals across all disciplines
Ensure all design changes, comments, and rejections are properly recorded and communicated
Maintain document control and traceability through systems such as Aconex

Planning & Progress Coordination

Coordinate with Planning to ensure design deliverables align with construction schedules
Track design approvals against project milestones
Support progress reporting with focus on design and coordination status

Commercial & Change Management

Support evaluation and coordination of Variation Orders (VOs) related to design changes
Ensure all stakeholders understand scope changes and their impact on cost and schedule
Assist in gathering technical inputs for claims and EOT submissions

Risk & Coordination Control

Identify design clashes, coordination gaps, and constructability risks early
Escalate critical interface issues between departments
Ensure closure of coordination actions across Design, Site, and Procurement

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or Civil Engineering (preferred)
3–7 years of experience in construction, design coordination, or project delivery
Strong exposure to design management, shop drawings, and technical submittals
Experience in fast-track or large-scale projects is highly preferred
Strong understanding of design → procurement → construction workflow
Familiar with tools such as Aconex, Primavera P6, AutoCAD/Revit (preferred), Excel

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Structural Engineer (Steel + Concrete) with strong BIM expertise and a minimum of 5 years of experience in structural engineering for both steel and reinforced-concrete projects. The ideal candidate has advanced Revit capabilities and experience integrating structural analysis with BIM workflows for complex, themed, or conventional structures.

Key Responsibilities

1. BIM Modeling & Documentation

Develop detailed 3D structural BIM models for reinforced concrete and steel structures using Revit.
Model structural elements including slabs, beams, columns, foundations, steel framing, reinforcements, and connections.
Produce accurate 2D drawings, GA plans, sections, details, and reinforcement/shop drawings generated from BIM models.
Coordinate models with Architectural, MEP, and other disciplines to ensure clash-free integration.

2. Structural Detailing & Analysis Integration

Collaborate with structural engineers to reflect accurate analysis outputs in BIM models.
Integrate analysis models from ETABS, SAP2000, STAAD.Pro, Robot, and similar tools.
Model steel connections, base plates, anchor bolts, welds, and full rebar detailing including bending schedules.
Ensure detailing aligns with codes, specifications, and project standards.

3. Clash Detection & Coordination

Perform clash detection using Navisworks or BIM 360 Coordinate.
Participate in coordination meetings and resolve multidisciplinary issues.
Update structural models based on agreed actions and resolutions.

4. Compliance & Standards

Ensure all modeling and documentation comply with local building codes, project requirements, and ISO 19650 BIM standards.
Follow internal BIM protocols for LOD, naming conventions, and documentation accuracy.
Maintain revision logs and version control procedures.

5. Quantity Take-Off & BOQ Support

Extract accurate quantities (concrete volumes, steel tonnage, rebar weights) from BIM models.
Support QS/Estimation teams in preparing BOQs and verifying quantities.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering (required)
Master’s degree in Structural Engineering (preferred)
Membership with the Saudi Council of Engineers or equivalent professional engineering registration is an advantage
