Pico Play is seeking a self-motivated Project Manager to oversee the delivery of design and construction works on a range of exciting local and international themed attraction projects.
The position is based in our Gold Coast office and will require some international travel, including travel to Pico Play's fabrication facilities in Malaysia and Vietnam.
While some project experience in the themed attraction industry is preferred, the successful candidate will demonstrate strong communication skills and high levels of energy and enthusiasm for leading a diverse and specialised team of designers, fabricators and artists. A sound technical knowledge of construction methods and materials is essential as well as having a good command of construction and project planning software.

Job description
To deliver your assigned project on budget and on time to the satisfaction of the client.
- Manage the workflow of all staff involved in your project team including design, contracts, purchasing, logistics, construction and administrative staff.
- Organize and chair regular project meetings with clients, consultants and contractors.
- Monitor the income and expenditure cash flow for the project by preparing cash flow forecasts as necessary.
- Manage the deliverables of the design team for cost-effective and timely delivery of design documentation.
- Engage and manage specialist consultants, contractors and suppliers as required.
- Obtain all necessary statutory approvals and certifications from relevant authorities including building, fire, structural department approvals and occupations permits prior to handover.
- Prepare and monitor the master program and procurement and trade letting schedule and monitor the Construction Managers progress against the critical path.
- Prepare micro-programs, fabrication programs and casting schedules from time to time to monitor complex major tasks.
- Oversee construction activities through the construction site team including sub-contractors and suppliers.
- Prepare method statements for major tasks and manage QA/QC documentation to maintain the companies quality standards.
- Manage variation orders and contract additions and omissions to ensure the projects bottom line is maintained or improved.
- Ensure that risks threatening the projects successful delivery are identified, assessed and controlled.
- Report to Directors monthly through a project status report including budget and forecast cost report and project status update.
