Are you a skilled Quantity Surveyor with expertise in cost management and project delivery? Join our team in the attractions industry to oversee the financial aspects of construction projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities:

Cost Estimation and Budgeting: Prepare detailed cost estimates and budgets for construction projects in the attractions industry, including theme parks, family entertainment centres, and entertainment venues.
Tendering and Procurement: Manage the tendering process, evaluate bids, and negotiate contracts with contractors and suppliers to ensure cost-effectiveness and quality standards are met.
Cost Control and Management: Monitor project expenditures and implement cost control measures to ensure projects remain within budget. Identify and address any financial discrepancies or overruns promptly.
Contract Administration: Oversee contract administration, ensuring compliance with terms and conditions. Manage variations, claims, and disputes in accordance with contractual agreements.
Project Planning and Scheduling: work closely with the project management to ensure timely delivery of projects within budget constraints.
Value Engineering: Perform value engineering exercises to identify cost-saving opportunities while maintaining quality and safety standards.
Reporting and Documentation: Prepare and present financial reports, forecasts, and progress updates to senior management and stakeholders. Maintain accurate project documentation and records.

Experience Requirements:

o Education: Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field. Professional certification such as MRICS (Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors) is preferred.

o Industry Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in quantity surveying, preferably within the attractions or construction industry.

o Technical Skills: Proficient in cost estimation software and tools (e.g., Cost X, Bluebeam, AutoCAD). Strong understanding of construction contracts, regulations, and industry standards.

o Analytical Skills: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail. Ability to interpret and analyse complex financial data.

o Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.

o Project Management: Experience in project management and a strong understanding of project life cycles in the construction and attractions industry.
