To create a 3-level action-adventure family entertainment Centre at Hong Kong's 11 SKIES that combines five attractions into a single connected experience. The goal was to develop a new Action Heroes IP and give every challenge, mission, and attraction a shared purpose within one immersive story.
Solution
Pico Play created Axtion City, an original Action Heroes IP set in a futuristic Hong Kong under attack from cyber hackers, criminal gangs, and international crime networks. Guests take part in hero training, physical challenges, combat missions, team competitions, and interactive gameplay experiences, all connected through the PlayMAXX platform.
Results
Axtion City offers unique immersive gaming experiences that places each player uniquely into each story. Once inside, players are tracked seamlessly with Pico Play’s purpose-built gaming system PlayMAXX. Once players enter each attraction, they are automatically identified, and progress tracked by the gaming system. All instruction and narrative are delivered via media in their preferred language and rewards are unlocked as they acquire points to their player profiles. The PlayMAXX playing platform also allows operators of the attractions to control all aspects of play to minimize staffing levels while maximizing efficiencies.
